Paloma Paloma
That’s not a margarita in my hand. We’ve had bad blood since National Margarita Day 2016 when I attempted to make them in a food processor (don’t ask), & ended up in the emergency room with six stitches. My left index finger & palm’s numbness is an ongoing reminder that me & margs aren’t friends. My new bestie? Paloma’s!!! 🎉 So yummy, still tequila, & so much more fun to say. Try this super simple recipe below & break out your fancy glass to cheers with! Full disclosure, I still drink mine out of margarita glasses. They’re just pretty & I like pretty things, so why not? My house, my rules. Get yo drink on, friends!
Here’s what ya need:
I use margarita salt for the rim, but you can use regular, kosher salt if you don’t have any.🧂 Wet the rim with a grapefruit or lime (I use both)
Grapefruit or lime wedge slice (again, I use both) 🎉
1/4 cup (2 ounces) tequila 🥃
1/4 cup grapefruit juice 🍊
1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice🍈
1/2 cup grapefruit soda (Cang’t find it? Mix a little grapefruit juice, club soda & sugar to substitute 👍) 🍹
Cheers!
