Mother’s Day Gifts 🎁

I hadn’t planned on doing a Mother’s Day gift guide 🎁 this year since I’ve been so busy, but as I sit here with my 2yr old, finally falling back to sleep on my lap after a night of vomiting everywhere but the toilet, including on my chest...I’m thinking I deserve one heck of a celebration for this mom gig thing.

Yesterday I was cool not asking for anything & probably risking a homemade breakfast from my kids/husband 🤢, maybe a macaroni necklace or shade of lipstick 💄 I’ll never wear, & a spa gift card that I MIGHT have time to cash in before next Mother’s Day 🤷🏻‍♀️ But not today. Nope! In this moment, still in my bath robe at 11am, exhausted, puffy eyed, & just now realizing, quite possibly with some specks of vomit in my hair 🥴...I ain’t riskin’ it. & neither should you, Momma! Cause here it is friends; every hard earned gray hair on our heads, every stretch mark, extra pound, & wrinkle, every sacrificial bone & every ounce of these hard loving, put our family 1st, hearts ❤️ deserve ALL the things & recognition☝️day a year...times 10 😉 But selfless is a moms M.O. so we’re good with just the☝️day.

So here’s the list ladies, click it, scroll it, share it with your mom friends, but whatever you do, don’t don’t forget to send it to those little people who destroy your house & steal your ❤️ or that guy who shows up to your kitchen in his underwear every morning looking for his homemade breakfast & still can’t find the dishwasher. Bc if you don’t, well, you just may end up with a coupon book, & you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.

#2 on the list...a cleaning service: No link for this one just google your town, trust me you’ll find one

clean.png

Are you noticing a trend here? Moms just a want a break! Scratch that, we need a break. But we also need things to get done, & can’t relax unless they are. Enter-a cleaning pro to do all that deep cleaning around the house while we enjoy a relaxing day at the spa. I wasn’t joking above when I mentioned not having time to use my spa gift card before the next mother’s day one year, & it’s probably bc the only “extra” time I had was spent on said deep cleaning. So tell your kiddos to book the cleaning service & your hubby to reserve the spa, bc it should really be a package deal 😉

That brings us to #3..a day at the spa, & there’s no better one in the lowcountry than Spa Montage in Palmetto Bluff:

It’s definitely on the pricier end of spas, but for the woman who pees a little every time she sneezes thanks to you; I think you can splurge one day a year. So send her for an afternoon of pampering she’ll talk about for years. Even better if you can coordinate with some of her momma friends kids/husbands & send them all together

#4 A Mother’s Day picnic

Anyone who knows me, knows picnicking is hands down my favorite hobby. Remember it’s a special day though, so you need to elevate your picnic a bit to make it worthy of the woman who forever gave up her body, sleeping,  ever having nice things again, oh & did we mention those 9 months without wine, in order to give you life.  There’s nothing better than nature, food, family, & of course wine 😉 So pack them all up in a pretty basket & head to Wright Family park, Forsyth Park, Wormsloe plantation or any of the pretty squares downtown Savannah & have yourself a day. I’ve included all the goodies you need below, click the links to my recs…

Basket

Grace & Gouda premade charcutier board (Ahhhhmazing!)

Blanket

Scout & cellar wine, red, white or bubbly; bottles or cans; you cant go wrong with clean crafted perfection

Cooler Bag, Tote Wine Carrier & Portable Bamboo Wine Snack Table

Spring napkins

Spring paper plates

Flowers (grocery store blooms popped in a vase are my go to)

Bring a long some comfy pillows & your favorite people, & you’re all set

#5 Wine, wine, & more wine…because a mothers sacrifice wasn’t labor, it was the 9months without wine

If you think mom loves the Amazon guy, just wait till Fed Ex starts showing up with her monthly, every other month, or quarterly clean crafted wine shipment! That’s right, while you can always place a one time order, the wine club really is the way to go, & it will remind mom why you’re her favorite for months to come. Let’s be real, our husbands & kids are the reasons we drink anyway so wine that won’t giver her a hangover, is half the calories & carbs, zero added sugar, & pesticide & chemical free fits the Mother’s Day bill perfectly. Oh, & speaking of fit, it’s always the right size 😉 Get it here

I’m all heart eyes for these mommy & me earrings, but that’s not where my love ends for Brook Lancaster’s jewelry line. Every mom will love her one of a kind statement necklaces & bracelet cuffs, as well as her darling clutch bags. So support a local, artsy mom while you spoil your mom with one these gorgeous pieces. Get em here

ORANGE2.JPG

Obsessed y’all! Comfortable, great quality, easy to dress up or down & only $15 right now!!! I’ve worn it for dinner dates, as a beach cover up, with boots & a trench coat in the winter…its versatile yall! I paid $50 for it about a year ago, so you’re getting quite the deal for it, especially considering I would pay well over $100 for it! Get it ASAP before it’s gone. Only con is that it doesn’t come in any more colors so I can fill my closet with them 😥 Buy it here right now!

So, I’m actually not cool enough to have an Apple Watch yet, but this band kinda makes me want one, so I’ve added it to my personal gift list, but since the rest of the world already has one, here’s a baller band for all the cool moms out there. Get it here

#9 The best bath salt known to man (or in this case woman 😉)

Seriously though, I’m obsessed with the purple label salt from Poet’s Blends all natural bath & body line. Believe me, there is a huge difference between drug store salts & high quality, Dead Sea salt like this one. While you’re on the site, pick up a floating candle & body scrub to compete the package. Bonus, you’ll make B.Z. Beekeepers day, because my dad still gets giddy like a school girl over online orders. Order here

#10 Noting beats from the heart

Obviously this list is all good stuff, but honesty, if I could only get☝️thing, the macaroni necklace actually takes 1st place. I would choose handmade arts & crafts over anything. Hands down, some tiny handprints will put the biggest smile on any mom’s face. Plus it’s something we can cherish forever, unlike things 1-9. So, grab some paint & construction paper & give it your best effort, she’ll appreciate anything made with love.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mamas out there! May the people you love show up, get you get something good, & let you take a nap.
